I really appreciate Dave, Byron and all giving me a place to participate without the repercussions of "spamming" my stuff elsewhere, and won't be bringing bullshit to this section. While a lot of what I may talk about here may end up selling boats, the intent of this section is to give you the proverbial "peek under the skirt" of how we have gone about designing, building, funding, releasing, unreleasing, redesigning, catching up, rereleasing, running out of funding, getting funded again and moving into production at Trident.
It is a cool story, and one I am looking forward to sharing with everyone.
I am spending a lot of time today working on this part of our project, and you will see some cool stuff that isn't even on our website go up on here today.
I have a lot of friends that will be stopping by as well. Famous folks, infamous folks... behind the scenes kind of people and others that have been huge supporters of Trident since before the first drawings were on a napkin. Dave is in that group, as are others that are already on here.
We have had a marathon, not a sprint to get to where we were. There is no doubt in my mind that my prior occupation played a role in providing me with the tenacity to persevere in this endeavor. As such, we will be having some good buddies of mine who are active duty SEALs stopping in, as if I had stayed in, I would be seriously senior... which means, all of my buddies are running stuff in SpecWar right now. There will be some really cool unclassified photos and "shop tours" of Special Boat unit 12 from down in Coronado that I think everyone will really get a kick out of. The boat barn alone is over 54,000 square feet.
This is a great forum, and a wonderful opportunity for Trident to interact on a great level with interested folks. I will be "necroposting" some of our earlier news updates as well, which show where we were over 6 years ago now when we got started.
Thanks again, and we will not dissapoint.
Wes
