I'm currently running a JC bowl and am going to be converting to an American Turbine split bowl w/droop.
I realize this will move the diverter farther away from the transom, which necessitates the need for a steering cable extention. Can someone post pics of their split bowl/droop setup so I can get an idea of how to set my steering linkage up from the cable end to the tiller?

just buy the adjustable/pivoting steering tube and the extension, connecting to the tiller arm is the same.

Yeah, what BrendellaJet said.... Got one from Tom @ JetBoatPerformance when I got my droop. Made for a quick & easy install.
Here's a pic of it though, just to give you an idea....

You shouldn't have to buy that extension, maybe the swivel to mount on the tiller arm. Just turn the steering tube around so that the long part sticks outside the boat and adjust the steering accordingly. You may have to take the steering wheel off and re-center it. Here is pic of my old boat with a AT bowl and droop.

You might need a spacer too.

What is the purpose of the spacer out of curiosity?

To keep the steering tube straight.

Just buy one, it will be the best thing you have bought for the boat. Like sanger rat said I have one to and I have a gullwing!!!:drnkfr:drnkfr

Another thing, why are you asking question about the pump extention when you have not even run that duct thing yet like you said you were going to?
I am just asking.

i'm more interested in the duct as a safety device, not a mph adder;) i'm building the new longblock tommorrow(its my bday:D) and hope to have my gullwing back to runnin by feb.. the whole idea was to get my hull as tuned as i can get it, get pressures matching the best i can with the loaders and shoes i have, take alot of notes and put 6-8hrs on it before i ever try the duct. this way i've got plenty of digi vid, plenty of data wrote down and a reallly good feel for what the boat does without the duct, then bolt the duct on with no other changes, see what happens. gotta get mark my intake p# soon so when he gets bored:D he can bend me 1 up to try on a gullwing.
shotgun, do you run a droop or snoot with the extension? did you run without 1 before for comparison?

No I just run a bowl extention with a nozle, do not need a snoot. If you run alot of HP then you only need the bowl extention and I have found that the gullwings like that setup. I know of several others that run the same thing.

I'm probably gonna try out one of those extensions too, but I'm gonna take IMPATIENT1's approach (God forbid I ever listen to a Ford guy) and try the new split bowl w/droop first as is...get that tuned and get a really good feel for the boat at that point, then bolt on the extension without making any other changes so that I will be able to see and feel what the difference is, if any. I say "if any" because every boat is different...what helps performance on one boat may either not make any difference at all or hurt performance on another boat.
IMPATIENT1...let me know how badly that new Ford does :D
