As some of you know I am building a house in Seal Beach. I broke ground Monday and I will be taking pics for an album for when I am done. I figured that I would share the build process with you.

So far foundations have been dug, they are going to be forming this weekend and pouring footings next week.

There are actually 4 houses going in on that lot. but i saw the plans to his place and its not too shabby. ;)

Like Bill said there are 4 houses going on the lot. The lot is 2934 square feet and the house will be about the same size. It will be 2 story 4 bed rooms and 4 baths with an 800 square foot deck on the roof with a 1 man and 9 woman jacuzzi ;)

No Z did not affect me as we already had permits before they broke ground.

I should be moved in right after Mem Day just in time for a 4th of July housewarming party.

I'm hoping bill will be bringing the hookers :thumbsup

It's a builder from up here that builds a ton of very high end custom homes that happens to be a grade school friends of mine. They are just finishing up an 18,000 square foot place for Adrian Beltre in Bradbury on 7 acres. He is also building one of the houses down there for himself, one for his brother in law and the last is another friend of ours.

Although I grew up around Belmont Shores, I lived at 15th and Ocean for a bit. Grew up surfing the south side of the pier and fell asleep on a long board more than once in the warm water jetty after a few beers.

The ocean side of the house will look at my next door neighbor. The Marina side will look at my other neighbor and the front will look and 4th and partially down Marina...I'm 2 blocks from the beach so no beach view.

I was told its goona cost about $5k for that...the expensive part will be the refrigeration equip which I will get done through work so that ought to cut the cost a fair bit.
