Where do I start.....Winter no cover, ice on the lake and your Schiada isnt in a warm garage on a trailer. So many things making me cringe...

Actually, left it in the boathouse because I'm redoing the trailer in the garage.Naturally, the engine is winterized, even some anti-freeze in the block. We don't see many other Schiada's up here in Alaska.

There is nothing happening to that Schiada that is particularly bad. Fiberglass does not disintegrate when it freezes.

Jim, how is the new one coming along?

The new one is progressing. Hopefully, the rough rigging will be complete in a couple weeks. We're going down to Arizona then disassemble it for polishing and anodizing.

Wow, a lot of people on these boards with ties to Wasilla. We're about five miles from Wasilla, between Palmer and Wasilla. I've met Sarah Palin and she is the real deal. We don't agree with the way the press has distorted her politics and personality. I hope the press is happy, they got the candidate they wanted.

BTW We always keep our Schiada up here covered with a boat cover (you can see the red in the photo) in a boathouse with a roof. This is the first winter it has sat outside.
