So today I took a little field trip, this is something I do from time to time to keep my head in the game and inspire my own designs. This place is one bedroom 1 1/2 bathroom w/ detached guest house and gym. It hangs on the side of a hill with a spectacular view of the OC. The house puts a whole new meaning to the term entertainers delight. I really like the fact that there is only one bedroom in the main house, makes a hell of a statement to potential house guests. Absolutely no expense has been spared in this build. The owners have IMO refined their living environment to the extreme. The house took several years to build and some stuff was done several times in order to achieve what you are about to see.

The ceiling in the main part of the house is right on par with everything else. right behind the bar is a pretty good size aquarium.

More like OCD, this place is flawless to the smallest detail. I did not spot one thing while on tour and was challenged to do so.

This is the master bed room, These shutters are solid mahogany (at least 10K) Not many of you know this but I have a side business doing shutters and have yet to come across a customer that will go the distance like this. The Last shot in this post is of a control panel, the house is littered with these and completely automated. This room also has a crazy ceiling.

The whole back of the house faces the pool and has curved glass walls. Oh the damage I could do on this BBQ.

Only one thing I would change about that house...a pebbletech pool in lieu of the tile. Other than that the place in unreal...BTW I am putting the same BBQ on my roof in Seal.

The detached guest house/garage/gym is 3 stories, garage at ground level, guesthouse upstairs, gym downstairs. This is the inside of the guest house.

I kind of like the tile, it looked a lot cooler in person, and as far as the BBQ I'll take that as an invatation;)

As long as you are grilling ;)
One other thing...with all the money being spent I would have done a real fire place in the guest house in lieu of the "tin can" they used...just being nit picky
But like I said earlier...absolutly incredible place!!! :thumbsup

Well since you will have proper grilling equipment on site I wont mind a bit, that BBQ at your river pad is fucking sad and the plastic fork we stole from badnoches to cook with didn't help. That's funny a real fireplace in Southern California, You would have to fly someone in that actually knows how to build one.

This is the outside of the garage and the inside, notice the track and hardware for the garge door has all been powder coated to match the wall color. Who does this? There was also a cool looking contraption (balcony) hanging off the guest house.

I'm going to take a guess, either Orange of Tusin, if it's Orange it's off of Circular Panorama and if it's Tustin I say Cowan Heights. ??
Like the tile pool. I agree with Mike though. Ceiling is cool. Also like the curved window system to the back yard. Most of it just seems decorative.
Now the woodwork you did in that house in the mountains was sick!
