Hi Guys,
I have posted my new V8 Schiada in the V-Drive section, so i thought i would show you my last outboard Schiada i had, it was a 1993 boat in gorgeous condition!, fast and much loved too... but i had to have that V8 sound after going to the Diamond Ski-race in Belgium last year.
hope y'all enjoy.

Hi RD,
Well i wanted a kinda different boat than the normal Rings and Phantoms ( see my website for pics on the past boats page, think you may like them! ) that we have over here in the U.K. and i knew of the outboard Schiada was not far away and was just sitting there doing nothing!, so i made a few calls and with some help of a good friend, it was mine!, bought a Mercury 2.5 Offshore 260 and bingo, a fast, different gorgeous looking racer!, i was so happy to have something so different and nice to look at, the ride was amazing even in the choppy sea, and fast...hell yea!
As far as i know i am the only Schiada owner now in the U.K. I sold my outboard Schiada to a guy from Scotland and i know it was back up for sale a few months ago as it was too fast for him!, but i beleive now she has been sold to a guy from France?
So, my V8 is the only one in the U.K. as far as i know, and i know a few people! lol.
I am trying my best to keep the Schiada dream alive over here!
Thanks for the nice comments RD, means alot.:thumbsup

Hi, thanks for the comment!, i loved the boat to bits but i spent a week at the Diamond race in Belgium and just had to have a V8 Schiada!, so thats the only reason i sold my Outboard one, my Father wanted to have her so bad but he suffers with osteoarthritis and found it too much to drive, so she had to be sold...
Speed wise i never had GPS, just a normal speedo and everytime i was out in her it blew up a storm here and had to come in, but i did see around 75mph, she had more

Nordics the only one making them still in the US, before buying Nordic Randy Davis owned part of the company in Australia. They tried to have hallet make a variation for them in the states (hallett f2) but only sold a few. I believe Rayson tried to "clone" it but only 1 or 2 got built. Boat 211 is the older 21 design from AU, which were based on off shore fishing boats. Those along with a 19ft model were sold to a company in England who retooled their decks, and makes them under Cyclone Great Brittain. The cyclone 20, and 47 were created in Au also, and their molds were brought over to Nordic when Randy Purchased the company. They sold the company and He then had Ross Wilson (Partner in cyclone Au) make the New 21 that they are pushing over here based on his previous designs. Ross also helped create their 34 and 43 cats. Cyclone is still in AU but under new management they make a variation of the 20, and i believe a new 21 I/O, but their main stable is still fishing boats. I've also heard Force based their 21 off Ross's original designs.

The tabs arent fixed they can be raised and lowered like on any other boat. at the start we use them to get the boat on plane and get the skier out of the water quicker.when its rough we lower then to bury the nose at slower speeds to make a better wake for the skier. usually as we gain speed and when were running at higher speeds we raise them all the way up. they are almost out of the water completely. never really had them porpoising the boat

Thanks Wildone for your response, I was trying to get a response from LuvToBoat though and I could not get him a pm so I tried to send my message a couple of different ways and they both went under you.
I still would like to hear from LuvToBoat about how his fixed tabs work on his Caliber 1, I have a boat like his under a different mfg. name and I dont have tabs on mine and have been thinking about building some.
Sorry for the late reply. There 1" from the bottom i built them more for a step. The boat only has a porpoise on glass. With wind chop its gone!

Luv2Boat, thanks for the response, Shockwave boats has the molds now for that tunnel, these boats were mainly built as Baker boats, they were built as jets and outboard powered. Jerry Baker died in the early nineties and the molds were sold. I have an 87 Baker and mine was the second boat pulled from the molds. Mine was originally build and rigged with a 275 Johnson V8 outboard on it. If you could PM me I would like to talk with you a little more.

Looks nice........do you tow long distance with the cockpit cover on. Leaving for Powell in about a week and I debated putting it on, worried it might mess up the canopies. We always seem to hit thunderstorms on the trip every year and it makes a mess of the interior.

one a day i do tow with just the cockpit cover on . the under side of the cover has that soft car cover type material where the canopies are and it has special snaps across the front so it doesn't come loose .i had a smaller boat before and always found little rocks in it!! TUNNEL T

Thanks, I really like how the eliminator came out, it just sits a little low in the rear when its loaded down. When its light, its a really fun boat to drive and use. For the Rayson, it has New Hydro stereing, gauges, bezels, wiring, and so forth. I like how it rides a little better. planing to change up the interior and redo the trailer this winter. you going to the open?
