Steering wheel issues

I just bought a 77 spectra 18:thumbsup. I want to change the steering wheel so I ordered a grant F9 and and all of the adapter parts for it from Rex Marine. Does anyone the shaft size on Spectra boats? the adapter that I ordered is part # 457465 and is for a 3/4" tapered shaft. It is to small for mine. I have talked to Rex Marine, but I thought I would ask here too.

I pretty sure it is a rotary type. Here are a few pics of the parts. The billet one is the one I got from Rex Marine. It is a 3/4" tapered. The cast one was on the boat. It seems to be an inch or bigger tapered. Does anyone know where I might find a billet adapter that would fit this shaft.

Is that a foot pedal throttle I see in the pic and did you out that in or did the other Rob?:hmm
