Correct....
As soon as you try and register it in CA the DMV gets you for the taxes.

X2 :D What could taxes be $1,500 at best? I'll pay the first $1,000. It's in the trader as of today. :champagne:
By the way the truck came from California, I bought it new from Jay.

I here you both, I would buy this truck in 2.5 seconds if my damn Denali would sell, I have been down the road of two vehicles before and hated it, having one just sit pisses me off not to mention the Insurance and other costs associated with it just sitting...

And the 2 payments until you get the Denali sold. Which we both know is a lot easier said than done in this used car market.

How much do you owe on the GMC?
Could you sell it to carmax for just a little loss and then get a loan on the Chevy for a little more to cover the out of pocket exspense of the other car?
If you get a deal on the truck you could pay 22K to 2Driver and he could cut you a check back for the difference.
Today is think out od the box day..lol:D

I was thinking about your TBSS when I hearda Dodge commercial this morning. There running the employee pricing ++ right now on the rams. 0% finnancing, free hemi upgrade and the trucks are like 24K before ttl.
You could roll in the SS and probably keep your payment under $600 even for a 4x4:hmm:bunny:
The new Rams are pretty nice and I would have to give the nod to the new hemi over the 5.3. (Its a strong truck)

Own the Denali outright. I have been low balled until my eyes bleed, I'm not gonna give the thing away, I paid $20K for it in October of 07... :grumble:

Have you checked Carmax?
nless you find a private party that is honestly going to be the best offer you get.
I would be surprised if you got more than 7-9K on trade. Sadly a year ago Jay was only able to offer me 12K on trade for my 07 Z71 5.3.
I just looked up the kbb.com value of the truck and it's sitting right at 21.5K for private party good condition.(Thats probably what they would loan upto)

His 03 Denali is bringing $11k at the dealer wholesale auction. I have access to all the dealer whoelsale purchases across the nation by week. I think $13K retail is fair, not a steal but certainly in line.
My Vortec Max 1500 is bringing over $18K at the auction according to last weeks auction.
The real test is neither have sold. ;)

What do you think both cars would go for on trade?(2-3K less than auction price?:hmm)
Auction will be a decent amount higher than trade and lower than private party right?

Private party is a pain in the ass, every freaking Toby type tire kicker calls and sets up a time to meet then no shows, what a waste of time it has been.
I have been quoted 10K on trade, I would accept that at this point. I have been pre-approved for up to $50K (no f-ing way I'm spending 50K on a truck) thru my credit union, only stipulation is the car has to be an 05 or newer...

I guess trade in would have to be much lower seeing the dealer is sending it to wholesale auction and doesnt want to be negative on it after it sells at auction.
Bottom line is the dealers are buying them (Denali $11K and the Vortec Max for $18K). I suspect they add $2K-$3K to it before it hits their showroom. All I know is that if I go lower than $18K I may try to sell my new Tundra first :grumble:

I think your pretty close to a good deal on the truck. 19.5K it might sit a while. 18.5K I see it hitting the road pretty quick with all the options you have.
Your price is right between private party and trade in:thumbsup

lol.... If you were looking at Tundras there is no way in hell I would buy the previous generation truck. They lacked serious power and the new ones 07+ I believe are 100X better.

Yeah, they have zero power, the sales guys were telling me that the 4.7 would have no problems towing my little POS boat up the I-8 grade coming out of Ocotillo, I laughed at him and asked if I could borrow one when it was 115 outside and see how well it does... Plus there bumpers are all f-ed up... :D
