1970,................I'm thinking this is Lake Mead, the last year that we raced. 18 ft. Wickens Whirlwind, 427 high riser ford, balsom wood checkered bottom. Scary fast in it's day :thumbsup

Yes it is Mead, if you showed up with that boat in the day, you caught everyone's eye! Nice pic!

It looks like Havasu Landing looking across to Havasu City which had no development in 1970.
Was the boat no. 5?

This is/was boat # 4 :thumbsup when my Dad built this rig Bob Lester built an IDENTICAL one, # 5...............
