My bro-inlaw has stayed at Riverlodge for 20 years, and I swear that I have never seen that place jumpin' with activity (aka--partying). I think it's snowbird heaven.:p
He and his wife go there to read books and watch the dogs play in the water.
When we buzz on up there to visit them, they get off their lounge chairs and go for a dam run with us.....all 1 mile of it. And then back down RL. WooHoo!:rolleyes::D
Still, anytime you are at the river, whether the place is full of blue-hairs or your boat is broke down, is still 10x better than being at work!:thumbsup:drnkfr:champagne:
Post up peeps. Prove me wrong.:skull

I've got to say, most of the time it is really low key, but on holidays it's pretty good. Thor has been getting a dj and kegs for the big ones, which is pretty cool. My family's trailer is in for the season, but we are usually NB106 I think.:thumbsup

I just started staying there only a few years ago because my buddy and his family stay there, and while it does go off on holidays it is slow most of the time. If they would only get the bar/resturant up and going it might help.

We've been staying there for the past 6 years and love it! Thor, Tara, Joe and Cathy treat us like family and always go the extra mile. It has a relaxing atmosphere and is a great place to take the family.

Ive been gion to River Lodge for the past 13 years. Super mellow. Once I found out about bars on the river i only go to River Lodge when my folks are up and need a hand. Im too young to be so mellow at the river..

We have gone there for three seasons now and it is really nice.
The staff there is top notch.
You can launch all day long with no lines and an easy ramp. There is a little curent there but not bad.
No sand on west beach were we stay so that kinda sucks but love the trees and shade most of the day.
It's nice to party at all the bars and come back to just chill. You don't have to worry about any fights or bone heads ruining your stuff. It's safe for all the kids too.
It would be awesome if they brought in sand for west beach.:thumbsup

The first time I went to RL was 1965.
The whole park was what is now the swimming beach up to the first hill. There were about 20 small trailers and the camping beach.
The old block bathroom is still there, and that big tree - been there all along.
The old launch was just south of the berm (about 200 feet north of the current launch), with the store and auto gas down near the water. The foundation is still there. You could walk down a ramp to the boat dock from the store and gas your boat there also.
The Bar, Cafe and Motel up on the hill were not new even then, but people used them.
North Beach was wasteland. South Beach was Wasteland with deep toolies along the shore.
I have been going there off and on ever since. Up river is the best!
If that guy would just move from NB41....
