So I'm the Godfather to a very close friend's 1 year old son. I'm thinking of getting an EE savings bond. You know, give the kid some cash but in such a way that he can't easily go buy candy when he's 8..... but can put a down payment on a boat when he's 18:D.
Any other gift ideas?

Still a little young for hot wheels....but anything Fisher price in the toy aisle will do. In all honesty though he will have more fun with the box than the actual toy that is in it.

When my nephew turned 1, along with some sort of goo-gaw, we gave him a bank. It was a wooden tractor-trailer rig, the trailer was the actual bank part of it. I painted it, made a logo out of his name & put it on the side, so it was kind of personalized.
Not sure if my brother & sis-in-law let him play with it or just keep it on the shelf to look at, though......:hmm
