For those of you who don't know, last year we formed a makeshift "homeowners association" call Bluewater Subdivision Homeowners (BSH) representing the Badenochs Pocket area when CRIT tried to increase leases 40%. Myself and another owner represented our community and convinced the Tribal Counsel to reconsider ANY increases. By the time this was in full swing, we had approximantley 40-50 lease holders involved in our communications along with the Parker Pioneer News. We listened to everyone's ideas and thoughts, came up with our gameplan then asked the involved homeowners for their approval. After attending a CRIT Tribal session and literally cornering CRIT Realty guru TJ Lafoon, the increase was reduced to 20% which is still unacceptable however, we did get it reduced. End result was CRIT recognized our quarum of homeowners. With the current events surrounding the Waterwheel litigation and Colorado River Residents for Justice, I am suspecting CRIT will not imposes any lease increases for 2010 but this is no guarantee whatsoever. We have sent a communication to the Tribal Counsel requesting a meeting before EOY 2009 where it has been suggested to submit any future lease increases be based from the Bureau of Labor Statistics Phoenix Az. area CPR (cost of living percentage).
I strongly suggest if you haven't yet got involved do so immediately. Send an email to Sue Chandler at SChandler@twinprofessional.com with your name and parcel number and get on the email group distribution list.
The only way to voice concerns is by our group as a whole. Feel free to PM w/any questions.
Thanks,
Denny Valdez

Denny... Stephanie said I would not be getting a lease on my property until November (this month) supposed to be a 5yr lease with no increases from last year. That was straight from her mouth. Doesn't mean things won't change? I will believe it when I sign the papers.
You gonna be down for thanksgiving? I will be bringing my noise maker with me!:D

You gonna be down for thanksgiving? I will be bringing my noise maker with me!:DI heard the same deal. Kind of a double edge sword however; if we 'sign' the lease or anything for that matter where we give money to CRIT, we aknowledge CRIT has sole ownership of the California side. With the CRR dealio at Waterwheel, CRIT's is recognizing our awareness of that situation and (I guessing) doesn't want anymore exposure.
Thoughts???
Yup, I'll be there T-Day weekend

If this 5 year lease does go down, I'm just going to send themdough w/out a signature and see what happens.
