New paint..??

I have a 76 southwind jet i purchased it from a guy 2 years ago, he kept it shinny with gallons of armor all. the gel coat is original silver and black, but now its turning yellow. i worked i the body shop for years and im just wondering if its even an option to have the boat re-gelled or should i just blow some thick coats of clear on it. any suggestions would be great. thanks

if the gel is in good shape other than the shine, I would try
clear gel and prestec mixed 50/50 if you want to save the original look.

colorsand it and blow the clear on.it will look fine.and i mean a lot of clear because you will sand it again and again.it will scrach

Ditto the prestec recommendation. The stuff shoots well and sets up hard.

ya i know once i clear the deck its going to be like one big car hood! scratches everywere! i dont know what to do, the gel on the deck is no good you can feel the flake coming up. i would rather have harder than clear on it but if thats my only option than that s what i've got to do. ive never heard of the other stuff before. were can i get it?
