Here are a few pictures of a 1964 Rayson Craft flat bottom that the owner is completely restoring for his wife and family. His wife learned to ski behind this boat that was originally owned by her grandfather. After many , many years of good times the boat has taken a toll for sure. The hull is in good solid condition but the exterior has taken a beating. The owner took it completely apart and we took it from there. This hull has a aluminum trim at the hull / deck joint and also had a windshield. To get the hulls exterior back in shape, we ground open and filed cracks for days, we were thinking of completely stripping all of the original gel coat, witch we did in several areas, but the cost to do that and then get it back in shape to re-gel coat would take many, many more hours, the owner was not to crazy about that extra cost. We fiber glassed and filled unnecessary holes and long boarded out some transfer areas from the side batons and bulkheads that were protruding to the exterior of the hull. We turned this boat upside down and refinished the complete bottom to perfection, but I forgot to take some pictures at that time when we had finished.:moon: This customer will have his hands full to get back together, but if and when he gets her all complete I will follow up with the pictures...Thanks for looking!
