So, the past 7 months we have been working on the P550 crackerbox. Another new bottom of fiberglass has been installed over the wood. B&K Marine did the work this time. If anyone needs a fiberglass work done, Ken is your man. Ken put his heart and soul into the bottom of our boat as if the boat was his own. At times, Ken worked with Kent at Barber welding to make sure our turn fin fit like a glove. I gotta say, Dwight Moody with the P66 Mr. Magoo really helped us out as well. He milled out a top bracket for the fin for us. The bracket is at the anodizer at the moment so i will post a pic when we get it back. I have a few pics of the bottom of the boat. I wish I had my camera when we had the boat upside down.

Tonight I had to make a brace out of 1/8" aluminum for the dash. There is a crack in the wood and we felt that a piece of aluminum would stiffen up the wood and prevent more cracking.

We gutted most of the rigging to send to the anodizer. The salt at Long beach and San Diego really eats away at the bare aluminum. Rainbow Polishing in El Monte takes care of all of my anodizing and polishing. The rest of the parts that we did not take out will get anodized next winter.

The inside of the boat is really dirty. We dont want to wash it out yet since there are open wood holes near the cavitation. Once we get the parts back from Rainbow Polishing I will be able to install the cav plates, and silicone the bolts down so water will not saturate the wood holes.

Here are some pics

I have a digi now, so I will get a ton of shots as we progress. Just waiting on the rest of the rigging to come back from the anodizer
