First off if that is a stainless prop, get rid of it right away. you have too much h.p. also you can contact rbr props and tom bentley at menkens and these guy will help. they will need more info, good luck

Be very weary of stainless props on fast v-drives, the older ones were better, but something has changed in the material and processing and they seem to throw blades way more frequently than before, stick to a steel prop on anything fast, and brass on cruisers. also, you never want to run more than 16" of pitch, that seems to be the size when they start throwing blades, it's pretty hard to find anything bigger than a 16 for that reason.
Adding gear in the v-drive is probably your best bet if you are already running a 15" pitch prop, usually the first number is diameter and 13" is also too big to be running 80+mph, the longer the blades the more stress is put on the webs (Which is where they break) 12" diameter and smaller is best for fast boats, most 21' turbo schiadas are running 11.5"d x 15"p or 16"p

Thanks for the info thats what I was looking for. The Prop that came with the boat which was set up for rec sking i guess works well under those condtions, looks like someone put alot of work into this one .I pulled the prop last night and looked for added markings besides 13 and found Menkins 998ss . Once again thanks for the info,I know the boat is putting up way too much hp for this ,i will start my quest greg

11.5 x 15 sounds about right. im running and 11&5/8 x 16 with 32's and just a hair under 1000hp. and its still just a tiny bit over geared & propped. im having to leg it out for about 20 seconds to get over 6300 rpm. prob take me about 30 or 40 sec from a dead stop to get close to 6500 rpm. im running a radice prop from tom bently. very happy with it.
