Maybe if you cut one of the freon lines to Carson's AC you'll have some leverage to get it done sooner! :D
Linder's intake manifold is at the polishers getting touched up after they moved the injectors down. I'd imagine after carson gets it back it will take him a day to reasemble the top end, hook up all the plumbing etc, then a day on the dyno. so we're hoping to have that back in a week or so.

I am heading there at lunch. The shop is nothing to look at it's been the same since his dad was running it. The motor shop and dyno room is sweet.
I will try and get some pics while I am there.

How much HP are you throwing at it?

Thanks
it will be just about 1200.
I am going to keep the balast tank because I may run it in a few races. The whole system is empty is about 30 to 40 lbs at the most extra

No EFU this year I will do it next winter. I am putting the new Gentry intercooler a new Dart tunnel ram that works with the EFI and the new style exhaust mainfolds.

I know a lot of you in here are car freaks too. Well here are some pics of my dad's '62 Biscayne 409 4 speed.
This was originally a drag car. It has been totally restored and has only 3600 original miles on it...documented.

Honestly it's a heavy layup with an extra bulk head, a balast tank and a 10gal belly tank. It was set up for ski racing. Bob Teague told the last owner that he had it at 118 on gps with pedal left. I figure it runs about 105 with just me and a light fuel load.

Nope Pedro had a second motor build and put the Richard Lee intercooler on it. The other motor that he sold was a 526 that had the gentry intercooler on it.

I had that baby bought and then needed five new work trucks that Ford wasn't ready to finance as we already had a bunch and were "new". That was a smoking deal on a great boat. It looks great. What's up with the "Thing" in the garage? I built one of those, too...

By any chance is the front fenders on that car aluminum? If they are, the aluminum front end cars were factory made for Pikes Peak.

Did the old owner keep the trailer or something? (Triple axle in this picture, tandem in this one?)

It used to have all clear fittings on it. When they blew the motor Bob Teague re did it and the former owner didnt care what they used. When I put EFI on it next winter I will put all clear fittings back on it.

The previous owner lived in HB and said it was too hard to get the tripple in his garage and he said it was rotten (I find this hard to believe as it hand not been in salt water) so he built a double. He didn't spare any $ building it. It is torsion bar 4 wheel disks etc.

My old man bought the Thing about 3 years agao and it just sits. He wants to put a good motor in it and a bus trans, dick breaks etc. He just has to do it. I have been trying to talk him into going 50/50 on a desert car instead of sinking a bunch of cash into the Thing.
I know all about buying trucks...it gets frustrating but definitely pay dividends in the end. We are running 34 trucks right now. They are all paid for now so its nice until they start getting 200k miles and above on them.
Tell me about your Thing. What motor do you have etc. It looks real nice.

The aluminum front end cars are very rare and to answer your question no it is a steel front end. Finding an aluminum front end is like finding an acid dipped Plymouth...very hard to find.

It had a 2176 with a 091 bus trans, 3X3 rear arms, tubed, etended front end, coilovered, power steering, disc brakes, blah blah. My twins didn't really like it too much after I finished it so it ended up getting sold.... I'm not a VW guy. Didn't have enough get up and go. Besides, I'd rather get a Buckshot or do a nice bronco later...

Broncos are bad ass. There is an Elite that Greg Foster has for sale that like I said I am trying to get my dad to go 50/50 on. He just bought the VW on a whim to leave out at Parker to cruise around instead of buying a Rhino or golf cart etc.

That's what I keep trying to tell him as does our partner (he built a Lothringer with an LS2...pretty sick car) He is real wierd about using things. He says I can't see spending 100k and going into the desert and beating the shit out of it.
You said you were going to be in Parker next weekend didn't you?
