The last 32' Spectra built by Spectra (before we bought the molds)

when my dad bought the molds in 79/80 they still had the orange residue from the stripes inside

330hp 454cu in Merc TRS packages, New Interior, all white done by Sturgis. Inside and out this boat is Meticulous, it was originally owned by Steve Rados, and has only had 2 owners since then, both were friends and acquaintances of Steve's, We have always been the shop that has maintained this boat, serviced every year, never skimped out.

We just got done doing a full service on the boat, including a valve job, All fluids and filters and a full rebuild of all 4 trim cylinders, replaced all the bellows in the gimbels, repainted the drives.

You will not find a cleaner original 32' spectra around, i promise you that. The original owner was beyond anal about keeping his stuff nice, and the next too were pretty good about it and maybe used the boat twice ever summer on mead only, and that's if they were lucky.

What is the hull number? The vents on the engine compartment are higher than the originals. Were they re-configured?

I think Racey said that this boat might have been the last 32 Spectra made. I was told that Spectra moved the motor vents higher up because
a 32 sank or came close to sinking Florida.

I came within a whisker of buying a 32 about 10 years ago. It was blue and white with four turbos on the 2 big chevy motors. The seller told me it would do 80 with no problems! We went for a test ride on lake St. Clair and were doing 70 + with plenty of throttle left. I had negotiated a price that was agreed upon and was to complete the sale after my back surgery the next day. When I got home from the hospital 3 days later, he sold it to someone else. Every time I see a 32, I just think "man I almost had one!":thumbsup

Yeah it was stupid that they ever put them below the molding, the boat sits too low in the water to have them there, especially when beached. I believe when the boat was built my Dad requested, on behalf of the original buyer, that they put the vents high, above the molding.

That is GOREGOUS!
But I am partial to Spectras and the color orange. It makes this one a win win.
Now I gotta talk my wife into another boat :D

That Big Burbank Girl was just ahead of her time. Oh to look at her when she was new and be able to buy one. But that was when the boat market was flooded with boats.

Actually had commercials on T.V. by boat companies.

Pretty '32... hopefully someone has the means to keep her afloat.

My budget keeps the Green '18 alive and runnin' the river.
