I had a 21'RC with this motor and outdrive setup....I even had Gary Shoemaker put the same crate motor in and streamlined the nosecone on the OD and it was still a dog......I can only imagine what this would be like with the extra weight/length.....not to mention loading the boat up with people.
I suggest you can find a nice Deck Boat for that some money (for sure not the build quality) or a faster Schiada, but a slow Schiada is almost as bad as a Fat Girlfriend......it get's the job done but what's the point:eek:

My buddy has one with a fuel injected 350 mag/bravo1 package and I thought the boat performed pretty well. Won't set any speed records but we loaded it down with like 10 people and it still got on plane very well and moved pretty good. These things are a great party barge.

You are right....I probably misspoke when I said it was a "Dog"....that's an overstatement. On the other hand if you've ever been in a 21' or 22' Schiada with a V-Drive, Blown/twin turbo motor then everything else pales in comparison:D
Schiada didn't build a sustainable business that builds ~30 boats a year by being known for products that "Aren't bad".....but rather boats known primarilary for quality AND PERFROMANCE;)

Actually I've been in quite a few. And I own a 22 v-drive. I still don't think my buddies whaler was that bad at all.

If you really wanna get down to it, Schiadas don't perform that well. Its takes a ton of HP to get them to move. Hell my 22 has over 650hp and it may run 75 by the time we get it all dialed in. My old 23 Howard almost ran that speed with a bone stock 365hp 454 mag/bravo1. ;)

Again have to agree with you.......but taking a 1000 HP 21'RC through the chop at 90 while the other guys sit there with their mothes open in bigger boats getting hammered..............PRICELESS:cool:

Thats where they shine. They handle rough water pretty well for their size. But like you said, 1000hp/90mph. ;)
And nothing beats the feeling a v-drive gives when you whack the throttle and it sticks you in your seat.:thumbsup:D

Speaking like that will get your shitada owners club card revoked.

It is what it is Billdo. But I will admit my 22 Schiada handles rough water a whole lot better than my so called Howard offshore did. And it pulls like a freight train. :D

You are mistaken by a long shot. I have a Schiada Whaler and while it is not fast it does have a blender - and 'Just Ducky', here on the boards, now owns a rare 'v' drive Schiada Whaler that once had a big block twin turbo that pushed it, with five or six folks, to 85+ MPH. Great well constucted boats!!!

I've had my schiada 22 whaler for over six years now and love it.Like Kyote said it's one of three v-drives that were built. It was originally built for Art hale and Parnelli Jones with a twin turbo motor. It now has a mild 454 chevy in it so it's not real fast but it rides great.I'm surprised that boat hasn't sold as it looks very clean and if it's built like mine it's rock solid.I like a boat to be turn key and reliable and any well taken care of Schiada is going to give you lots of years of trouble free boating.:thumbsup:thumbsup

I have to imagine wake-boarding behind the Duo-Prop Whaler could be quite fantastic!?!?
