Thought I'd post this up for the gang if anybody is looking for a clean little Beetle, I am going to sell mine.
It is a '65 body on a '70 pan. Registered as a '70.
Fresh top end on a 1776, new dual 35mm Solexes, new CB 044 heads, new ratio rockers, new Kymco jet-hot coated exhaust, coated new heaterboxes.new pressure plate/lightened flywheel throwout bearing. Rebuilt Genny, electric fuel pump w/pressure regulator, etc. The engine work was done less than 1k ago.
The wheel bearings, brakes, susp. bushings, KYB shocks, etc. all have less than 5k on them, I have only put 2 k on the car and the p/o did all the work. No rust in the floors. The front beam has a single drop adjuster on it.
The interior is clean, no rips tears. Scat lockout shifter. Carpet on the sides, and firewall, rubber floor mats. White seats, headliner, red trim doorpanels, new. white paint, about a 6 .
The car has a CD deck in the glovebox, the dash has never been cut. The speedo is out of a late model and the gas gauge is in the speedo. Radio delete plate in place.
I am into it for about $7500. I have recpt. for the engine parts. about 2k.
I need to get 6000 for it.
20ish MPG on flat ground, 30 a year for tags, 29 a month for full coverage ins. No smog, no computers required to work on it. Runs fine on cheap gas. The car is not a showpiece, but I get comments on it everywhere I go.
I can send more pics if someone is REALLY interested.
I think the car will move quickly.

Cool car. I've had several bugs in the past, but the driveway is full and the bank account empty right now, so I'm gonna have to pass.

Thanks max, Thought it would have sold by now, but not yet. Lots of lookers, a couple of folks wanting to know if I had a payment plan:confused: and one guy who says he wants it, but isn't sure if his wfe does.
Truth be told, I want to keep it but just have too much rolling stock myself, and need some seed $ to get going on my '56. I have not driven it in a couple of weeks because it reminds me how much fun it is.
I am going to have to push it a bit after the 1st of the year.
