Went and looked at a blue 24 (Tail Chaser) that has been on Craigslist off and on out here for awhile. Going for $2300. I am considering offering $2000.
Really rough 24 that has sat for 4 years outside. Hull and trailer are really not worth trying to resurrect (and I love Spectras). Obvious salt water use in the past and bad ugly in alot of places.
V-drive running gear and motor appear to be the only things worth saving. Maybe some odds and ends.
I would be interested in the motor (460) to rebuild with my kid.... he hasn't done a full on rebuild of a V-8 yet and our Spectra 18 has a 460, so we could do a blower motor for it out of this tired 24 motor.
Anybody interested in Spectra 24 V-drive running gear, etc.?
If there is some interest, I'll do the deal and split the salvageables with you.
