Good luck with the tranny. 700R4's can be a bitch and take some coin to get them to last. I say pull it and throw a good turbo 400 in it. I don't think you'll be doing much freeway driving, so f..k the overdrive!

But...on the other hand, just get it going dand drive the piss out of it! I bet it's a blast to drive. Beautiful car:thumbsup

I actually like the overdrive.. Makes it really nice when going on the freeway.. Hopefully it is just a tuning of the kick down cable.. Tranny only has 700 miles on it. It is a rebuilt tranny that came off ebay from the other owner. I have my fingers cross that is just an adjustment and not a bum tranny. And after buying the car the money tree is dead..

Need some tuning for sure. I think i may have a weak link with the edlebrock 750 carb and the slipping tranny :grumble:. But then again I am not the expert with carbs. Just reading alot on the internet and trying to figure everything out. The thing should be a beast once dialed in. Huge heads and a huge cam.

Actually a good built 700r4 can be a great transmission if you keep the power under 400hp to it. I love the one in my truck. Shifts like a well built 400.

At one time I had a guy building me transmissions and he was awesome. Haven't talked to him in years but if you want I can get you the number for the shop he was at. He might be retired by now though.

Motor builder says it is 460hp to the motor. But it is no where near that in its current shape. And it has a peg leg 2:70 rear end. And with the chevelles you can not put bigger then a 245 rear tire without a mini tub. Hopefully the trans will hold up.

If its built right it will. We put over 500hp to one in my friends Vette and it lived. Hell that was years ago and I'm pretty sure its still going today. We even put drag radials on that car and drag raced the shit out of it and never had a problem.

That motor is gonna make a solid 440-450 hp once dialed in.

We have never even see the power come on but I can tell you its really nasty when you rev it in N.

Ordered headers today....Operation new exhaust is hopefully gonna happen sooon.

Lets do Fudd's next Tuesday. Wolfpack can bring his banana and the beers :party2:

I gotta put up some more lights in the garage. Thought under the hood was clean until I opened it yesterday at Fudds. Almost closed it. Make sure your stuff is clean.

There were at least 3 perfect cars there yesterday. All of them were drivers too. I'm talking sick clean and perfect cars. Needless to say we left early :D

So in other words I'd have to park mine down the street?:grumble:

Cole Trickle
04-20-2011, 03:35 PM
Nah. They get a little bit of everything there. Rat rods, Cobra's, Vetts, you name it.

What I don't understand are the electric vehicles. Personally I think they show up to spite us gross polluters. One of them sumbitches parked right next to me yesterday. I almost cut his cord :D

It wasn't the guy with the old school first generation prius was it?

I think it was blue with some custom gay pin stripes and some retarded posters?

We used to roll real deep 10-20 cars every week from 2001-2003. Like I said before alot of races set up there. It was always an intresting ride leaving there headed for dinner with 20 fast cars jockying for position street light to street light:D

Hell I don't know. I don't even look at them. Makes me nauseous. There were at least 5-6 of them. Never been in or around one until yesterday. I thought I lost my hearing when the car was moving back and forth but didn't make a peep. Its a fucking golf cart with lockable doors and windshield wipers. It's just night right :skull :D

lets be honest its way way gayer than our golf carts and I know wich one I would rather drive around town...lol

Guy on the other side of me had a 51 Chevy 4 door primered with a home made tubular grill and a home made banged out the dents front bumper. But he did have a chrome air cleaner, so its all good :D

ok ok.....maybe yours is a little nicer! I love these cars I got mine into my shop and about to start the long....long....long process of making it pretty. I've held onto mine for about 9 years now, i'm just glad I forked over the $300 for it when i did! hopefully it comes out as nice as yours.

Oh God don't do that. Would be entertaining though. Might as just go with what ever Brandon suggests cause if he doesn't like them he'll never let you hear the end of it. LOL

polishing aside I think the brushed would work better with the monochromatic flat sides of the 64. I love 64/65 but there isn't a whole lot going on with the the flat body lines. I typically dislike hate trim/emblems but I think this car could use an emblem or two and these wheels to break up the blue.

69 has polished and imo looks perfect.

New ride got chrome becuse its going to be driven alot and polishing sucks ass...haha:skull
