The waterjet truely is one of the most versatile machining centers simply because of the huge range of materials it will cut cleanly, Glass, composites, all metals from copper/aluminum to hardened tool steel, as well as plastics, wood, and stone. the posibilities are endless in the world of 2 Dimensional machining.

gotta love that.
Hey, I sell a few sets of AN wrenches a week. Would you like to start making them?
I'd like some in sets (4 to 16) and singles (-6 & -8). I also have some other wrenches that you could do.
Let me know,
Dave Bottomley aka superdave013 or good ol Larry here. :)

~48,000psi, Pressure is the same to cut all materials, feed rate changes depending on material type and thickness.

Racey, in looking around in some of the "projects" on your website I have seen quite a few interesting ideas, many of which were made possible, or at least a lot easier, by water jet cutting.
I'm curious how much something like this motor plate would cost. Just a ballpark number for material and cutting, no finishing. Thanks.

0.375" 6061 motor plates are $40-$50 (front or rear), with all the the bolt holes cut etc, just as the one pictured above is. Dirt cheap when you think about having to make one the old fashioned way on with a mill/drill press and a bandsaw ;)

Damn, I should have asked sooner. :) I assume that is the price for the cutting alone, or in other words $40-50 + material? I don't know how many hours I have into making some custom plates...........and I'm not quite finished.

You got it, I can't imagine having to go back to making them the other way :D

looks like a tool I would love to have. what's it cost for a decent waterjet setup? How much floor space does it occupy?

Amazing to watch the waterjet in action. Have worked at a few places where was able to see one in action.
