It's definitely not Bill Wiggins old boat. My Dad had Bill's old boat for a few years. CL ad says this boat was regelled in 2002, so its hard to say what it looked like before to determine whose it used to be.

What happened to Wiggins 2nd boat? It was red with grey texture on the deck I think. Very thin deck. If I remember correctly it was a GN boat in the early 90s ran by a guy out of Phoenix who was kinda of a legend in road racing back in the day and kinda wealthy. Can't think of his name right now. Nice guy. Funny too. When he died Vintage Motorsport did a nice piece on the guy. There was a great story about a joke they played on thin skin Teague. If I recall correctly the boat was supposed to be a pretty light layup.

Wiggins was a salesman at Spectra in the 70s I think. Nice guy-lots of fun. Great wife too. Spoke with them a year or so ago and forgot to ask about his boats.

The boat you are talking about is owned by a member krazykelegian and the racer was Sherwood Johnson he circle and ski raced it. It is in Parker.

Rode in this particular boat all day Thursday and most of the day Friday. Awesome boat. 540 naturally aspirated motor etc etc. The hull layup was built for speed. This was my second time in the boat and it puts a smile on my face every time :)
