Exactly like Riverbound's Spectra 18, just w/o the bow rail.

If anyone buys this boat and is insterested in keeping with the OG look. I have the original wood steering wheel off my old Spectra. I think I have the original guages too. If I had the money I would be all over this one too.

Maybe as we get closer to summer things will change. But then I'll want to keep it:beer
So...I bought this boat in Feb. of '09....I replaced all the switches (from REX) in the dash, put on a new Grant G/T steering wheel...yanked out the stock fiberglass tanks and had IMCO build me a couple of 21 gallon fuel cells with sender's for gauges, which Spectra didn't put in...Yanked out all the interior and had all new wood/cushions and upholstery put in it..Pulled the carb off, rebuilt it changed and added a 1" spacer to the carb and replaced ALL filter's/fuel and oil.I cut a clean hole in the engine cover and added an Old Skool "Mr. Gasket" scoop to the carb, I also got rid of the throttle/forward /reverse dealio and put in a foot throttle, pulled off all the broken down faded pinstriping and lemme tell ya...I love this Lil' O'skool Spectra..I will be keepin' it for a long time...my dream is to take this thing down to nutthin and start from scratch and to keep it as ORIGINAL as possible....yeah,yeah,yeah...it's a jet...but I love it!:D Cool Lil' boat...

Figure upwards of $800 for a pair of Imco tanks. If it has a belly tank, I have no idea. As for the ride, I've heard of porpoise issues in the 60-70 range, but I've never ridden in one. A Hardin 460 will probably put you in the low 50s with a decently setup jet. Most all the 18s are E/F insert pumps which are setback, but lack a standard intake adapter that will allow you to install a traditional shoe/rideplate setup that you might want if you were trying to really go fast. For a nice river (not Parker on a busy weekend) boat, I think they're pretty cool, but they don't have a lot of room inside if you're looking for something that's comfortable to be out on the water all day with the family in.
Hope that helps,
Chris

Thanks for the reply i figured that would be the cost on the tanks? But didn't know about the pump?? But i think it would be a great cruzer!! Just dont know if i can just Cruz??? It has a warmed up 460 but not over the edge Ill just have think about this one??
