Hey Tom, The pump work is done and ready for the river. And you can see I added the fins to the ride plate. Thanks for all the advice and help with the pump.

Hey Tom,
Last weekend we were out at Needles for a little test and tune. The motor was runing great and the pump was working good.BUT I did not have the fins on the ride plate and the boat was all over the river. The pump got the boat out of the hole much faster but once out of hole the boat was so unstable I wasn't able to see what it could do. So back to the shop and we added the fins. I also check the sizes of the fins on the Berekely in takes and our fins are just a little longer (1/4 to 1/2 inch.).
So we'll be bake at Needles this weekend for the power tour and to test the fins. Hoping to get a run on the GPS.
Thanks again for all the help.

I would angle the back of the fins like an outdrive/outboard skeg . Thats just me though . I've heard those guys know a thing or two about fins .

Hey John, When I made my fins I got my measurements from a berkely intake and then tryed to make then as short as possable.(less drag)
I think yours will work good. we're realy on our own on these. Tom is were I got my info from.(thanks Tom)

Yup, that's half the fun of it though. I'm gonna do as Propless and Josh suggested and make some bolt on ones out of some angle that will allow me to try some different things. I'll post up what I finally end up with.

make them out of aluminum "L" and then bolt them to the ride plate instead of welding them onto the sides.. (My opinion) It'll be exponentially easier to try different lenghts and shapes, then making new ride plates / fins and welding them together every time.

Yup, that's the direction I'm going. Already have the aluminum and just need to cut some out and bolt them on.
Thanks for the input and a killer site.........john
