John

I pick it up in Havasu on Friday after the cage, light bar, back seat, cooler rack, roof, harnesses and spare tire mount are added. I have the wheels and tires at home (BFGs with "wide" ITP black wheels". so I will post the pcs as I add things. and then I have a couple other things in mind to make it stand out.

I dont recall having any problems keeping up...and once the cooler rack is on, it will be full of frosty cold beverages. for plenty of it stops.....we wont be in a rush to go anywhere.

They are the "wide" offset, not sure how much power the BFGs wil take as I havent had it out yet. I drove it around the block yesterday and it did take some power away. but I expected to lose some.

Well I will have a set of the SoCallUTV arms and steering for sale next week, I will make you a smoking deal on, then I can get the Axle's for 600 from Gearone or from another guy in Havasu, and then all you need is the Shocks of your choice. Arms run about 24-2500 I will be selling these basically new for 1600. The rhino I am geting has them on it and I have another set of SCF arms I will be using on it.

Not even that. From what I've read on them they didn't even gain any power at all. But it sure would be nice to get rid of the cold blooded start problems that the carb version has.

I thought the same thing until I bought my FI. I wasnt sure it was worth the $$...but after driving it some. My STOCK 700 performs much better through the low end and mid than the 660. The top end still sucks but once the performance mods come out for the 700s I bet people will be pretty impressed. the 700 has WAY more power than the 660s do.

Im very happy with them. The only issue I had is I couldnt make it up blowsand with 4 people in it. they were to heavy and sunk in the sand other than that I love them and the ride is great. I put close to 100 miles on them this last trip. and they performed flawlessly. not once did they ever feel to heavy.

it would be interesting to see the torque curves and when/where the power comes on/off at. I can tell a huge difference driving both. i have driven both Danny's 660 with CDI, K&N. and mine is definitely faster. (they both have 27" tires.

IMO the best way to make power is with clutch work. All of these motors make very close to the same amount of power but that clutch kills it. If these things had a manual clutch and gears they would be a whole lot more fun. When I did my sheave it was pretty much the first clutch mod out. Now there are a bunch out there. Do some research and talk to some people in the know and I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction to get you set up with a clutch that works for you.
