Posted this in the other thread, With Dave's wisdom I'll post it here also.
Got everything installed in the boat, sounded great for about 12 hours and then the shit hit the fan. The RF T10001bp amp I have (3 yrs old) took a shit on me I think. The gain and freq. dials are shorting out, When I go to turn the system on after being off for a few hours the rear subs are just booming with full volume feedback with no beat, just solid bump and really fricken loud. I will touch the dials on the amp and it will go away, I can touch them again and it will feedback at full volume again. I have checked and rewired the whole system twice so grounding/power & sub wires is not the problem I am sure of.
RF wants 230.00 to fix it, so my question is How much is a better amp ? I have had 2 RF amps go bad for no reason and thinking of switching.
Thanks for any and all imput
