I need some begginer smoking tips as my treager will be here tomorrow!!! Break in is planned for 12-31-11!!! So any words of wisdom will be helpful. Thank in advance.:thumbsup:champagne:

Make sure you run it for about an hour to burn off the oils before you use it.

Low and slow when you use a dry rub I wrap the meat tightly in plastic wrap for couple hours to day before. It gives the rub a chance to get in the meat.
Definitely get a meat thermometer (instant read) and or one that you insert in the meat and leave in while cooking.

It looks like you got the bug and from what i have seen you are doing a good job. Check this site out it has more information on how do it then site i have ever been on. Spend some time on here you will learn the cuts of meat to buy and what to look for. Tons of info that I learned the hard way. If you follow his recipes and methods you will knock it out of the park every time.
