Are there any octane boost products that are safe to use in a 2 stroke?
My Pro Max needs 91 and a couple of places I go do not have anything over 87.
Some manufacturers don't put anything on their label but Lucas specifically states 4 stroke only.

Mix half and half, 87 with 100LL avgas or 100 octane unleaded race fuel. Check with your local small airports for the avgas, keep in mind that it is leaded fuel. Almost as much lead as regular gasoline from back in the day.

There are componets in octane boost that do not work with two stroke oil
and toulene is very dangerous if you do not know how to mix it. I like the 87 octane and 100 avgas combo.

I run Aces IV in my 165# compression 2.5/260 with 91 to bump it a few points. Normally, about 145# is the max on 91 pump gas. It lived for 2 years like this, at 1oz to 10 gals mix ratio. Aces claims it adds 9 points of octane at a 1oz to 6 gals ratio...I don't need that much. My dad has run the 1oz to 6gals ratio + 93 octane in a 195# compression drag motor with no issues.

It's not cheap though. I always carry a pint with me.

I should have been more specific in wording my question.
I can always get to the lake with full tanks of 91 but it's on the water I have run into issues.

Lots of guys on ScreamAndFly swear by Aces like Kieth does so I'm sure it's good. I use Klotz KL-602 at 2oz/gal when I am on a lake that only has 87 or 1oz/gal when I can get 89. It's suposed to up it 2 1/2 points at 1oz/gal. I don't use any when I can get 91. I have been using it for 3 years now without a problem. Merc 280, stock compression.

7 to 1?
My Placecraft holds around 25 gals. per side.
I don't think I care to cart around 7-8 gallons of toluene in order to re-fill.
Aces has a 2 stroke specific boost that I guess I will try.
