Fender Flairs

I want to get Black Fender flairs on my new truck, the dealer says they do it, but they send it to a body shop to do it, I ordered a set and when they came, realized they were not what I expected and sent back, anyone can suggest the best way to get them installed, the thick black rubber Off-road type to keep the rocks from hitting the body, and after I get them I may get better tires and rims , but fender flairs first ?
