Back when I joined Hot Boat in Sept 2006, I had bought a 1978 Marlin Tigershark the day before Labor Day. I had posted a rebuild journal on Hot Boat...which got lost due to the recent takedown. Later on as I would post progress pics of her, I came to learn that AquaBoogie1 used to own her...and at the time had an Olds 403 engine in her.

So here I will post all about it....it's gonna take some time to get all the pics organized for it. However I will start with some of the before pics.

When I bought her she had an Olds 455 with a Berkeley 12JC pump in her. Not too much upkeep was done on her. The floor was completely rotted...you could stand on it and feel it flex underneath you. The motor was a motor that was pulled straight out of a car and dropped into the boat. I think the fastest she would go was probably about 40-45mph when I first ran her, but I have no way of knowing because the speedometer she had never worked. I of course replaced that with a GPS speedo and so far I've had her up to 62 mph and still have more to go on the gas so I'm thinkin' she'll get up close to 70.

I ended up ditching the Olds and went with a 454 Chevy turned 460...built a 500HP/500ft lbs engine out of an old RV motor. I'll post the motor specs up later tonight.

Anyway...here are the "before" pics.

Here are some of the pics right after I got her back from the fiberglass shop and had just started on the re-rig. I don't have my progress pics of the revamp of the hull on this PC but I will get them on here so I can get them up on the site soon. For now I will leave you with these.
