Runner bottom vs True flat? What if any, are the differences in speed handling and drive ability? If you had two hondo t decks close to the same year ,weight and hp lets say(950 to 1050) what would you expect to see flat vs runner???

I'd expect to see the runner pass the flat. Less boat in the water...less drag = More mph & less e.t.

untill coming out of turn 2 when the runner would have to re-take his lead.:D

Thanks Fiat , thats what I expected but just wanted a more educated conformation.

I know a guy that had a hondo sprint with a BBC that ran real respectable. It ran 88mph in the Hondo. He then bought a Magnum granted it was a light lay up, same motor in the boat ran 110.

Much about the boat.
In 1981 I ran 110 with a magnum runner bottom. Wayne Mettler built me a Canyon and Guaranteed me....10 mph or he would take the boat back.
The boat ran 117 on it's first pass...with the motor hurt. Mettler showed up to take the boat back.
He didn't get it back. LOL.
Yep..much about the boat.
