Here are a couple of pics of my Sanger Ski Hydro I restored. I sold it three years ago. To reduplicate the original look I took a lot of picks and measurements before the repaint. I did changed the shades slightly but stuck with the brown, orange & gold. I hope to build another one someday. It was never built as a hard core race boat like the rest on here. But I did get 111MPH GPS and 106 Radar conformations. Ok for a lake toy.

From what I was told, Connolly didn't change the molds until 84 when they made the deck "sleeker"..

So its pretty much a Connolly.

It's pretty much a splash of the Spectra with the exception of the side deck as it comes toward the stern/engine cover. But being true to splashing all things Spectra, Howard Brown splashed the deck design of the Spectra 32 for that area.
Gene at Howard boats (current) told me that he thought Howard only made a half dozen of this 'Citation' model. It's 24'6", LS-6, powered, velvet drive and a C-500 (4% UNDER-driven).
This one was somewhat of a 'barn-find' as when I got a year and a half ago, it had clocked all of 39 engine hours in 29 years. All OG gel, interior, shag carpet and triple axle Competative Trailer. Nice cruiser that will be at Irvine (Fathers day weekend) if you wanna check it out/ take a booze cruise (this boat is really good at the booze cruise event).

Handle fine over 100.. This boat ran 1"teens" to 120's if memory serves with the twin turbo motor in it.. ;)

New owner is playing around with some different motor combos. The boat is very solid! BUT, it wasnt always that way originally from Cole. Ken Meyers at B&K in Bellflower made a lot of nice upgrades for me. He fixed the bottom and added full length stringers in the sides.

Newbie here. Heres a couple pics of my 83, 21' Howard, engine is a 548 with a 10:71 pump gas deal, turbo 400 trans, 48% gears in the V drive. Bought it new and did the outfitting myself. This is not the original engine and I've made a lot changes since it was new.

I posted the fact that i am redoing the interior and mentioned doing a spatter gelcoat and everybody went nuts so what direction should I go with the floor as I stripped it of all rigging and am sanding all the old glass and going to do something. Should I do a 1/4 endcut balsa floor with clear or what. I want to keep it light am powdercoating all aluminum and doing a complete rerigging. Have new motor to drop in as well.

Nice nordic especially with the ford. I had a 74 like that but a short deck with a jet. I know a guy in Havasu that has a nordic longdecker with a 427 cammer ford fe.

That is almost like mine also called Family Tradition, was run at Clear Lake as a ski racer. mine has blown BBC, inter cooler, 1050's and stainless water jacketed headers. And seating for 4. Rigged to race.

We finally got it handling after much of trial & error. We tried many props, plate adjustments, bottom work, fins, pick ups, reset the strut, even a whirlaway without much progress. Finally we put the custom shaped rudder out of the Vector in it and got it to go straight. It's now fun to drive!!! Looking forward to Pedro this year.

Man those Halletts are beautiful. Can I ask a newb question: why turn the engine around? To run the tranny? Just wondering why.

They will turn better driving off the crank.like a circle boat, that is what they are only pulling skiiers. Some people would not want the blower turning in front of them, hair, fingers, etc. A transmission makes for a more friendly use for skiing docking getting out of the 5mph wake zones.

Yes they are way cool boats, mine rides like a Caddy and hauls ass big time with gear change. Now I need to get the prop figured out.
