i'm plumbing my new oil cooler and was changing out the plugs to a lower profile allen screw plug when i found this. . it's lined up with the hole it came out of. it's basically a solid round tube of meteal that sticks into the intercooler and it threads into the back of the plug. is this there to create a slow down on the intake(water) side? maybe to disperse the cool water evenly is it enters the core? it's not magnetic or anything. i'm thinking i'm gonna put it back togather with locktight and then put it in the cooler with arp thread sealant. any would be greatly appreciated. thankyou -Jas
