Hook up or date your ex???

Kinda depends on the "ex" but a blanket answer? I don't think a true buddy would hook up with your X.

Hook up or date your ex???

I've been on both sides of that fence.....

Got interested in a chick a friend of mine had dated in the past. They had been apart for some time, but I still mentioned it to him before I got involved with her. Gave him the scoop & told him if he had a problem with it, I'd steer clear of her. He said he didn't mind, but to "be careful"(), so I hooked up with her. About 7, maybe 8 months later, I came to realize that the most pleasant thought that came to mind when she was with me was how much nicer it would be if I could have chopped her fucking head off & stuck it in a bowling bag. Her impressive rack had completely disabled my ability to heed his advice & it turned out my friend was dead on about her. :D

Later, down the road a couple years after dumping a psycho-chick I had been with for awhile, a friend approached me asking the same question. He was interested in one of me ex's & would I have a problem with it if he started seeing her. The circle was complete, it was now my turn to pass on the words that were spoken to me in the past: "Sure, it won't bother me any. Just watch your ass & keep an eye on anything you consider valuble. She'll be fine for about the first 6 months, but the situation will go to hell on a greasy pole shortly after that." He came to realize that I was right, & he ended up getting rid of her. :D

These days, the women in question are all gone & we're all still friends..... :beer Would I do it again, though? No........ :)

I would agree with this statement. I think it would depend on how long she has been your "X". Hell I tried to hook RB up with my X-Wife:rolleyes:

I don't see a problem with it. I won't put boundaries on someone just because they or I was a stepping stone to get to somewhere else. I had a friend of mine came up to me one night at a bar... said my "girl" was getting friendly with him. I said "Take her home then." He said he couldn't do that. I told him "Hell, I'll pay for the drinks to get her smashed so you can!"
He was supposed to go to eat breakfast with us the next day, so I called over to her place and asked "Is Paul there?" She replied "Yes, but he is kind of busy right now." I told her "That's awesome!" She asked what was so awesome... I said "Hell, you're an official club member now!" You know, I've been seeing this chick off and on since 2001... she hooks up with her "serious" relationships that last 6 months at a time, give or take a few months, and I always know when she's broke up... She's gotta have me on speed dial or something. That's pretty much all I am to her right now, a stepping stone... but then I wouldn't have it any other way.
Exes are exes... cut em loose. I've had friends get butt hurt over it, but I'm drilling whatever I want to drill. Just because you stick your dick in something, it doesn't give you exclusive rights to cock block your friends from hittin' it. I will gladly hook an ex of mine up with a friend. Hell, I'll even furnish them a bedroom at my place to hit it.
I'll never understand how people will throw away a friendship over a piece of ass, because that's all it is. Hit that shit and move on or pass it on...

Might be awkard hanging out with him and her. On another note, you can always say "Fuck her, I did"

It is an unwritten law between girls...never, ever date the ex of a friend!!!!

somehow:hmm, I ended up dating my ex-hubby's friend. Not a good idea:mad:
It made my ex-husband soo mad. I realized I was WRONG. I really have no idea why I did it, but it ended quickly and to this day my ex will still not talk to him. I did however set a girl I knew up with this guy I had been dating but was now trying to get rid of. I told her my only request is that you do not become one of those "you can't talk to her" jealous type of girls. Well she did. So lessons learned on both sides....

If it is actually over and done with, I have cut the strings and there is little or no baggage. At that point I will mention the problems and let them choose. If it works great, If it doesn't, I warned you.....

No baggage, no regrets, no problems.

Just the way I am.

If they are friends then there is a 90% chance the two dudes see things on a similiar level. You know, hang out with the same people, have the same hobbies, etc... So what makes dude B think that the outcome will be any different than it was when chick was with dude A. She either tired of his lifestyle which will surely mean she will tire of the new dudes shit. Or she is a bitch and dude A already eliminated her from the pool.

Chicks always think they can change the guy. She will go through the whole group of friends until she finds one that will throw everything out the window and in the toilet for her.

Guys though, it makes no sense to try out a retread, you've already seen the original model fail. What makes you think its going to be any different the second time around?

Very wise Mr. Miyagi, and I really must concur; would also appreciate a heads up from my Bro. In addition they're Exes for a reason, don't know I'd want my Bros facing that kind of exiquisite torture. Bros b4 Hos always.
