110 hours. I would like to sell for the $102,000 that NADA values the boat and trailer for but am willing to accept any reasonable offer.

I think this boat was for sale in the low 80's a year or so ago. Maybe prices are going up?

Invested and boat are rarely used in the same sentence.:D

The definition of an investment is : expenditure of money for future benefits.

We just got off the lake and had another great day with our family in the HOWARD. The boat now has 113 hours. We have enjoyed many benefits from owning this boat, but it is now time for us to sell her.

You only go this way once, make the most of it while you can. Y WAIT

I am still curious as to why you keep mentioning the trailer as if the boat doesnt come with it. I feel as though we are getting rope a doped into buying an aftermarket trailer of sorts as many times as you have brought it up. It this trailer extra special? Did you not get a trailer when you purchased this Howard originally?

I think you edited your definition a bit.

Definition of investment:
An asset or item that is purchased with the hope that it will generate income or appreciate in the future.

Definition of Boat::D

A hole in the surface of the water where money is thrown.
or... break out another thousand.
In todays market:Boatt
Break out another ten thousand.

BTW you have a beautiful boat.
Good luck with the sale.:beer

After doing some "other" research I found out that some other manufacturers dont even offer a trailer. WTF is that about? Also, it looks like this particular bad ass Howard has more of a custom type trailer. I believe that Howard offers a tandem axle trailer with painted fenders. This is obviously a little more bling than the average. :beer

Hey if somebody bought a boat below market, and then sold it at market.. what's wrong with that?

I believe the only question of the day is, is market for this boat 100K?

I don't know if it is or isn't.. But I don't think his for sale thread is the right place to debate it either.

Trying to be all politically correct ehh Johnson? My only beef in this thread is that I wish he was asking $60k for the boat so I could buy it. :swear:swear

Not questioning his price on the boat at all.

I think it's a beautiful boat and I hope Y Wait sells it for his asking price.

I just always get a chuckle when I see invested and boat in the same sentence. I usually use the word thrown or threw when it comes to money and our hobbies.

I follow the market on these models closely and right now the market for this boat is in the low 80's. Your right though wrong place to debate it. Please feel free to delete my posts in this thread.

I heard that Gary Taylor over at TPI has a clean 2003 25' Bullet on a tandem trailer less the engine for sale. I believe he is asking $45K and he might add a 496 HO for another $25k and be close to your price. Give him a call. The ride of a Howard Bullet is definitely worth the price of admission.

I saw a post you made on another site in August of 2007 that you were interested in buying this boat when it was listed for $96,000 on boattrader and OSO classifieds. You asked if it was for sale in 2008 to let you know. Contact me and lets make a deal.

I wish I could. Back then I had some money but since I'm paying for a wedding right now I gotta wait a while before I could jump into a new boat. Its a beautiful ride, someone will be very happy with it.

Yeah, we priced out an Eliminator Eagle once and once we settled on the price of the boat, he started talking about the cost of the trailer. I just about laughed at that point.

Any interest if I sold raffle tickets for this Howard bullet at $250 each and held a live drawing at Lake Havasu one weekend? The winning odds would be 1 in 420 and I would make a cash donation to charity.

It's a nice boat, enjoy it. Maybe someone will buy it next season :)

It's illegal as hell... but I'd buy one. :D

Of course depending upon the sold price of the boat, price of the tickets and how many are sold.

Not sure what boat you are talking about. We have invested over $100,000 in this boat and trailer since we purchased them in late September of 2007. We bought the boat from the previous owner who lived in California. He only sold this Howard because his needs changed and he purchased a twin engine 38' offshore to use out in the Pacific ocean.

That's a hoot! That's about what I have invested in 3-4 motors in my 95 Daytona and I've had prolly 7->8 motors in it. :D

You're a hell of a salesman !
Good luck,

What was the result of your ebay listing?

What was the result of your ebay listing?

The facts are that I ended the auction early and the high bid had not met the reserve. I attempted 3 times during the active auction to reduce the reserve price below the original $85,000 reserve and the eBay system would not accept the reduction in the reserve so I ended the listing early because of the error.

NADA value has remained constant, so why should I give it away.

The only thing is that NADA is only a guideline IMHO and the market is tough. As with anything, something is only worth what someone will pay for it. It's a nice boat, I wish you luck in the sale :)

After all the debate, and him deleting most of his posts.. LOL

I'm guessing he's probably done with this thread, and how much people think his boat is or isn't worth.
