... so I was carrying a bunch of stuff to the car, doing that thing where I open the door with my hip, and forgot I had my iPod clipped to my belt. It came off quite dramatically and hit the pavement.

I keep it in a Marware Sidewinder case that is now broken but it protected the iPod perfectly. The case has a broken belt clip and a minor scratch but it's barely damaged after it's trip to the concrete.

The reason I went with the Sidewinder is that it has excellent protection and a built in kick stand. When I bought it, I didn't care about the cable winder on the side they talk up so much. After using it, I've come to enjoy the cable winder too.

It's awesome to have a nice, neat package to take on an airplane. With the kickstand out, I can place the iPod on the table and watch TV most of the flight. For what I use my iPod for, I don't see how anyone could design a better case.

It's not too often I'm this impressed with a product so I thought I'd hype it a bit.

I'll have to check that out. Currently I used a rubber deal that slips over mine. I have a 60gb that plays videos, however I am too cheap to buy them off of itunes. If I get some videos, I may have to invest in one of these....

Where do you buy the case at, the Apple Store?

I bought it at Marware.com but they charged me $45 shipping and wouldn't add a second case for the same shipping so I'll replace it elsewhere.

Thanks for the help Tom. I've been considering upgrading to casettes but I really enjoy my Muntz Blue Light unit. But my tapes won't fit in a casstte thing, they're too large for the pewney slot. Will my 4 tracks fit in this ipod player you speak of? I really don't want to lose all my 3 dog night, herman's hermits, and bee gees songs.
