Anyone have any experience yet towing with a Tahoe Hybrid?

I know it comes with a 6.0l, but I saw the gear ratio is a 3.08... which has me a bit worried. I do not tow anything heavy, just a 4500# skiboat. It says it has a 6200# tow rating, but I was wondering if anyone had first hand experience with it.

Basically, I am wondering how bad the thing is going to "dog it" over the Cajon, Grapevine and the climb out of Indio on the 10.

Thanks In Advance

4500 LBS... Will be NO PROBLEM for a hybrid Tahoe. I do not have first hand knowledge BUT G.M. NEVER gives a tow number that it will have a problem with. And you are correct at 6200 tow rating... That 6.0L has alot of power and I believe the tow rating might be at 6200 NOT because of motor but because of 1500s brakes .... Jay 714 552 0300

We had the first generation GM truck Hybreds in our fleet at my work.
They are brutal tow'rs.
Most the Hells Angels I work'd with that used them have bought their own they are so fantastic.,,,

The elect hybred motors have a straight up torque curve.
Just colossal, vicious power to the wheels..:beer

GM has a bright future, their stuff is excellent and they are streets ahead of everyone else.

GM Hybreds towing skills are a sleeper.
Word hasn't got out yet.
Buy them while they're cheap.

It's the future,, and the future looks good.

I hope you are right. I am waiting for th Suburban/Yukon XL version. I do know tow a lot so a Duramax does really suit my needs. If I can get better mileage around town and tow well, then great. I just wish the Sub would come in 3/4 ton hybrid.
