How To: Posting Pictures

My last example put everyone to sleep. This time I decided to make it way more visual.

Start by replying to a thread or creating a new one.

Type the text you want and press the Attachment Icon.

Click on the Browse Button and locate your file.

Once you selected your file it will look like this. You can add up to 10 pictures per post.

When you've added as many picutures as you want click the Upload button. Depending on the size, it could take a little bit to complete. Just wait.

When you see the list of attachments displayed like this the upload is complete and you're ready for the next step.

Press the Close This Window button to go back to the message editor.

click on the Attachment Icon again.

Select the attachment you want. If there is more than one, you will get an option to insert all.

If it looks like this you are done. Click Preview Post to test it or Submit.

Thats all there is too it. No more copying the properties and pasting them in to the image tags.

I've tried this way and that way. All I ever get is error or I need to resize won't upload. ?????????????????? any more help?

I'll just do it the HB way with the yellow mtn. tag. It works for me that way. The other way I have upload error or it says I need to resize my pics.

There is a file size limit to keep the database size down and the load times quick.

Though the file size is set to 300k and the one you linked to is only 87k. Maybe the original size photo on your computer is over 300k? Most digital cameras will take pictures between 1 and 5 Megabytes which is way too big for the forums.

In the next version of the forum software I think its built in. Over on PB they upgraded to the Beta version of the next release.

We'll get there and if the gold release doesn't come soon I'll install a mod to take care of it.
