I started this in January 2007. The 'ol man picked this up from a buddy of his in Murrieta for $7500. The body is all steel, no real damaged areas say for the old bondo, no rust. Boxes & barrels of parts, NO INSTRUCTION manual of anykind, pretty much just laid it all out and figured out what went where. The next one I do will be a ford, finding parts for old chevy's, 1930 & older, was a real PITA :swear EVERYTHING is new/rebuilt, engine, trans, lights, brake system, radiator, shocks, shifter, e-brake, heater, interior, electric windows, pretty much a "brand new car"

A few pics of the new paint. I'll post up pics of the finished car hopefuly this weekend. Still have a few minor things to do, but for the most part, It's D O N E :D Fired it up last night, REALLY sounds good :D as good or better than my '34 ford  It's got dual exhaust and I'm thinking they might be the old 1970's "glass-paks"

Looks awesome! :thumbsup
Are you going to put the engine cowl on or leave it off?

I'm gonna put the cowl back on it, looks TOO good not to :D I treated that dam cowl like a new born baby  had it wrapped up in blankets & a sleeping bag ever since I got it back from paint, took it out to install it yesterday a put a big gouge in it :swear dropping it off at the paint guy's house this morning :thumbsup

LOL.. That's exactly something I would do.
Wrap something up 3' thick in bubble wrap, only to unwrap it and drop it on the way to my destination.
The Hotrod looks AWESOME!! The descriptions in the pics are a nice touch. ;) :D

Nice ride. I don't see many 4-door Chevys. Until just the past few years, the 30's Chevys have been kinda tough to do; what with all the wood in the bodies. Now I hear that you can buy re-wood kits for them, which has to make doing a resto a bunch easier.
Makes me think maybe I should not have passed up tha '33 bowtie Coupe I walked away from back in the late '80's.
Oh, well. I have too many projects as it is.
