This is by no means the prettiest strut brace ever made :D, but i've got my money laid down on how strong this little focker will be. It took a 280 pound HowardFlat every ounce of pull to bend the shaft while it was red hot, nearly pulled the whole vise table off the ground in the process ;) (My skinny ass will stick to working the torch :p) For the little clearance we have between the pan and the bottom this shaft material makes for one hell of a strong brace. I helped Bill Dunsmore Sr. built one this way for a 21' ski race boat and it worked like a dream.

The shaft is 1 1/8" stainless prop shaft, and the mounting plates are all 1/2" stainless. I'll have more pictures once it's all welded up.

All Done, didnt have time to send it to the polisher to be back by labor day weekend, Once the engine's in you won't be able to see any part of it anyway. :smackhead
