    I know I guy that drag races that you could call. I’ll get his info. The biggest problem that you are going to run into with your build is getting that boat on plane. V-drives require a lot of low end torque to spin a prop fast enough to get them on plane. And if you gear it too low, then you will lose on the high end.

    Heck yeah I'll take whatever advice I can get. I know it'll need some low end to get on top of the water but the builds I've done on these same motors before will make more torque below the crossover than the motor that's coming out of the boat and it ran fine before.

    I'm just going to have to gear/prop for it, even if it means leaving some on the table on the top end. The plan is for it to be our family boat anyway so I'm okay with leaving some on the table on the big end if that makes sense.
