Im gona get one more season out of my old elite and then next year I'm gona look to upgrade. Something bigger for the family and kids. I was looking at some of the 28 conquest top cats. What's everyone's view on them performance wise.

Heard nothing but great things. Friend has one and loves it. Puts up some good numbers with any power.

I have been on 1 cruising at 85 with 13 on board years ago. Same boat has a lot more power in it now. Saw it running Thanksgiving but didn't hear the ###s.

We went and looked / talked. They are amazing looking boats but up there with Eliminator on pricing, so we were out.

Love mine, I have a cat 2 w a 525,

Love mine too! Topcat II w/525. There are certainly some other great deckboat options as well but I’ve been very happy. Would recommend a 525 or better if you can swing it.

Owned our 2007 Top Cat II for two years now. Love it. Just refreshed the top end of the 525 and she is ready for another 300 hours.
Can’t say enough good things about Jodi and the gang there. Always available for anything we ask.

What's the difference with the 500 and 525 I saw a few with a 500. Other than it was discontinued for the 525

You know we have not red lined it yet.

Now that I know all is good with the refreshed 525 I will run her out this summer and see where we go.

My neighbor at the river has one. Been on it numerous times and driven it a few times. It’s a great boat. I wouldnt hesitate for a second on buying one. He has the 496 HO, and I think it runs upper 60’s.

They’re built like a tank. I’ve been in a lot of deck boats. Most flex a lot, so when your sitting at the helm you can feel and see the boat flex. The way Conquest builds their bulkheads and bonds the top to the bottom creates a rigid platform. Go in there and ask Jody to show you. They’re pretty much in a league of their own at the construction side of their deck boat, especially on older boats. They’ve been building them this way for a long time.

They’ve been talking about doing some tooling and maybe doing an outboard boat. I really hope they do. It’s gonna be badass.

I agree with you on the flex in most deck boats. I rode in a Howard deck last year and felt rock solid with zero flex and had a lot more freeboard than most decks. I was impressed with the Howard compared to others.

Performance wise heavy well built boat good family boat not the best for speed. When tested mid sixties with 469 ho .
One of the best looking fronts and swim step closer to water .

I miss my conquest. Great boat and solid build. I had the 525. Loaded with a bravo 24 it would hit the rev limiter at GPS 73.
Cheers, SSC

I was on the hunt for 2+ years and finally found the one.........496 HO with a Bravo 3 twin prop. Exactly what we wanted for overall fun and to haul the grand kids around on their wakeboards and tubes. Extremely happy with everything the boat has to offer. Love the Conquest! Ours is a Top Cat. Top speed? Haven't tried WOT and really don't care, it runs 40 MPH at 3500 and that's perfect for an old bastard that has been there and doesn't appeal to me anymore.

So what's up man, heard you bought this for $62k then were trying to sell 2 days later on River Whips for $80k and kept deleting comments. Is that true? I may have a buyer at $68k.
