I think he’s taking about the oil change place in Havasu?
You go there, some person who may or may not be an idiot changes your oil, while you wait. You pay, you leave, and you hope for the best :).
It’s all of the above.
Harmless people or kids, criminals, perverts, code enforcement, realtors, insurance companies, law enforcement, etc.
Just depends on time of day, and what neighborhood.
Start shooting at them, and you’ll find out whose they are 😂.
Agreed but is in no way “fair” because they won’t let you off the grid, ever to rid yourself of any electricity billing or tracking should you want to explore that option.
I completely understand your point, but you hit the nail on the head.. "In a fairly priced state". Solar and batteries do not offset anything in a fairly priced state. There are people out here with extensive "country" operations. No Solar. The problem you have is societies problem, because many...
Buy you already have and already are. There is no reason you should have even needed solar in the first place.
To your point, you are just picking the best solution out of a series of shitty options, but the only reason there is not cheap power and water for every ratepayer in the country is...
So the question will be how well are Teslas going to sell now that solar schemes make little sense for well off people that were the only ones buying Teslas in the first place.
If Q3 earnings were any indication.. the answer is not great.
In response they are going to start building car in...
Mine just blew for the first time outside Cloride a couple weeks ago. We were on a nice flat graded road. @DLC was in the car. First it started to smell, so I backed off. Then it smelled like we were on fire, then no drive and the worst sounds I’ve ever heard. Worse than the trans failing and...
24 hours of Lemons also did that in the early days. It was a long time ago but I want to say it was like $3k or $5k. I don’t remember. These were supposed to be $500 cars.
People got pissed not because of the car but because of the safety equipment investment - cage, seat, belts etc.
They...
Yes, that is where the on road guys have a leg up. We go in knowing the rental rate for the track.
We have an outlaw race like that already. The Alamo 200. :)
It has been a couple years since we did it though.
Yes. The classing aspect is a total cluster. Scrap the whole thing.
You can only run a 1000CC NA production based car. You can’t spend more than $20k on the whole getup. The judges asses the car. If you cheated fine, you just get penalty laps assessed from the jump. Make it a fun spectacle...
If you want to race off road and have any kind of “Everyman” budget.. go buy an UTV and run some showroom stock class. It get stupid quickly any other way.
I think there is a huge opportunity for this kind of amateur competitive off road racing in UTVs, similar to 24 hours of Lemons for on...
You are talking 2500# cars with 250 HP vs a 5000 lb car with 600 HP through a torque convertor.
The UTV is going to be faster and handle better except in flat out straight line top speed and some of the extreme rock stuff.
The UTV classes are the only ones with OEMs fully redesigning them...
