I have had Meniere's since I was 25 and I am 54 now. I have tried pretty much every kind of treatment possible including steroid shots into my ears with nothing really helping. I was on a low sodium (diuretic) and no caffeine diet for a long time and it had no effect on my condition. Mine was...
I have a Hallett day cruiser with a berkeley jet and a 555 running a proform 1050 with a 4150 base. The motor runs great and accelerates perfect with no bog or hesitation in any rpm range but when I am cruising or pulling the kids on the tube in the 3000-3700rpm range holding steady rpm (I have...
Thanks for your reply.
The bullet is a custom grind and I told them it was for these wet exhaust logs. There was some reversion when I pulled the motor apart. The cam also had to be installed 6 degrees advanced to get to the 109 centerline. I have degreed a fair share of cams (not as many as...
I am doing a refresh on my 555 with new rings and bearings and also changing out the camshaft.
The motor is going into my Hallett open bow jet boat with a JG and stainless A. One caveat is I have to run logs because I have a doghouse so it has to be ground for wet exhaust. Yes it has to stay...
Thanks for the responses. My buddy is bringing over the boat and a bare block this morning so I will let you know how things go.
The boat does not have the wing anymore.
I am with you on starting with the motor placement at where the current rear motor plate is. Like I mentioned this has been a drag boat for a long time and from what I am told it has done pretty well so the setup has to be good. But that is for a blown BBC.
I come from nostalgia drag racing...
I am helping a friend build a new 427 cu in SBC to go racing. It has a alky digger tunnel ram with 2 1050 carbs and planning on running a 400hp shot of nitrous so it should be pretty stout. The boat is a TR3 and from what he tells me it used to be a blown gas boat and has been over 140 MPH. I...
I have a 555 with Jesel shaft rockers on Brodix heads with a hydraulic roller and I have had some issues with the pushrods jumping the cup and causing a little valvetrain damage. Is this something you see on hydraulic rollers often? I thought this would be a bullet proof combo for drive train...
I just built a 2 bolt short block that is studded with a stud girdle. This one has a crower 4.25 crank and crower I-beam rods with Mahle forged pistons. How much power you think a short block like this can handle?
I was probably going to do a block off plate and preheat the water in the bottom of the manifold and then into the block and plumb things the same with the outlet going into the riser and out the boat.
I also found this diagram for a thermostat setup
Any other suggestions?
These are the...
