Things are moving along well and looking good!

Edit; for clarification, this is a photo of the plug being made. The mold will come next, then the customers boat will be made. This is not a customers boat.

Tell him I waxed some of the plug today, almost ready to lay some glass.

I am liking the silver and black more than I liked the all blue. Looks pretty original. Can't wait to see it finished.

Hey throttle, talk Jeff and the customer into letting RD do a test write up on this one!! :) :)

Note edit- this is not a customers boat. This is a plug being made for a mold. Then the customers boat can be made.

In case it was missed before, here are a couple of pics from when it began

This boat is gonna be sweet. The pictures don't do it any justice either. Looks bigger and more impressive in person. Love it!!:thumbup:

Excited to see the new 270 Python in person. Going to try and stop by this week, check it out and get some swag to wear to boat show. Last season was our first on the 280 Python and I have never been more pleased with performance and comfort.

Is your 280 python the one with the 525? What numbers are you seeing?

Awesome looking boat by the way! Massive!!

525 with Bravo 1, 28p and 80 on GPS (trimmed out). But honestly being on the lake with 9 adults, 2 full tanks and chop it will do 65-70 all day, safe and sound. Looked at your boat in the show room, love the color with the metallic.

Wow! Gotta love those 525's.

And I think you're confusing me with my brother. His is the blue and silver metallic. Another beautiful Cobra for sure!

Yesterday appears to have been a busy day around the shop.

15 coats of mold release wax and sprayed red tooling gel coat on. Then sprayed with black gel coat, the black gel coat is so they can see the air bubbles when they laminate, any air bubbles would stand out because they would be white.

These pics are from Cobra Performance Boats on Facebook, I missed being there at the end of the week to see this first hand. Still thought several of you would benefit from seeing it tho. I will be visiting the shop again later this week to see how things have progressed.

Some more pics of the laminating process on the plug a couple weeks ago. I have not had time to personally stop and check in for a couple weeks, these pics again are from Cobra's Performance Boats Facebook page. Worth sharing for ya tho. I hope to be stopping by the shop early next week.

Once the lamination process is complete on the plug, a frame needs to be made to protect what will soon be the new mold.

Stopped by Cobra today to get the low down on the new hull from the boys and pick up some hats. Was cool to see the process of making the molds and hear the plans, first deal is done and two more on deck. Not confirmed but the first one will more than likely have 565, that guy is coming out of a 260 Python deck boat. Can't wait to see the first one.

Stopped by Cobra today on my way back from Havasu, I found the guys spraying the hull today. They were also preparing the deck to be laminated. I was able to see the artwork today too, however I don't want to spoil the surprise just yet on colors and graphics. It gonna look pretty cool I think. I will try to stop in again next week if I can.

Again, not being able to find time last week to stop in personally I have taken these photos from Cobra Performance Boats FB page to share with you.
The boat is really taking shape now, I hope to visit the shop this week before heading to havasu for the poker run.

Stopped by the shop today, full cap is coming along. Sorry no pics. The full cap is a long slow process, but to do it right takes time.

My brother-in-law took his 260 Python in for some work today. I think he might be purchasing one of these bad boys by the end of the week.
