We have seen a few across from the sand bar a couple years back, hope they don't get out on the sand bar itself.:yikes

Last wed night I was driving through desert center around 11:30 PM. I saw something run across the road and stop. At first I thought it was a coyote. Then all of a sudden I saw that fat bastards snout. Hogs are everywhere

Best place to see a pig at the lake is usually at Kokomo or the turtle.

Feral pigs are no joke.
Even if you carry, you'd better be packing a hand cannon if confronted by one.

Those are mostly weekender pigs. Local pigs can be seen at BJs.

I've seen them in the reeds just as you enter river on AZ side.

I have a scar on my leg from one, 2 arrows and 3 x 30.06, would you believe a 30.06 can fail to penetrate a skull? Neither did I.

They are also found in the Santa Ana River.

This one came from the Rubidoux area during a night shoot.

Try it some time its not easy to go from a slinged rifle to 3 shots in a few seconds with 350 lbs of mean charging you. I now use a guide gun in 4570.

We saw a few on the beach by the north launch at Windsor last year, a few up by the sand bar too

Windsor 4 Beach. Came up wagging it's tail begging for food.

There was a black bear seen swimming around the south ramp at Windsor a couple years ago.

Surprise ending last year

Back in our river camping days we use to camp on the beach (5 mile rd.) just north of Park Moabi. Before heading out to the river one of us would go to one of the ranches in Chino and get us a pig. We'd dig a hole in the sand on the beach, load it with coals, throw in the pig and cover it back up with sand. Let it cook all day and feast all night. Those were the day's...
