Wow, that is a big motor in the bilge. I see you had to cut into the storage space behind the rear seat. Is it the same with the Merc 700 to make room for the trans or is the 1100 just that larger in physical size? This is an awesome build and can't wait to see the results. What state will it call home? Will we be seeing this beauty in Havasu?

We stuck her a$$ in the pool last night and fired her up...:cool No leaks, no squeaks...:D
Despite no mufflers, motor runs very low on the db meter...:cool

Monday is now the "target date" for the Lake Test @Elsinore...

Just a couple months ago this was a rendering on a wall. From rendering to first start up, absolutely top notch! Very well done as usual [emoji106]

How do they connect the water hose to the sponson water pickup tube. My boat has 1 on each sponson one for intercooler and 1 for motor cooling but I have never figured out how to connect a hose to it. Mine potrude thru the bottom at slight angle.:cool

I have been curious and don't want to ask a stupid question but I have to know. On what engine are those new TT merc's based? Are they a mercury exclusive design? pretty damn sick if you ask me. Not super cool or blingy to look at but damn I bet they run like nobody's business.

Glad to see Eliminator turning out some prized pieces too!

Shrink wrap tape...around the hose and stuck to the bottom...

They are a Quad camshaft (DOHC), 4 valve per cylinder, 552 cubic inch deal. Very "new school".

So this motor is an all in house design my Mercury racing from the pan up?

That is one beautiful ride! Every single person that had anything to do with that boat, should be very proud. Pure perfection IMO.

Boat turned out fantastic, great job. Did you guys run it today? Any numbers? I'd guess north of 150 depending on setup. Looks great, and great drive package.

That seems way high for the single package. I would guess 120ish

Pretty sure the one they did with the 700/nxt package was doing 120ish,granted I believe it had a stage 3 whipple kit.
How much power that kit adds I have no idea.
I suspect this boat hits 135-140ish,150 does seem optimistic.

Isn't 150 the holly grail for a single engine cat?

That's what the Nordic is running at with monster gt power....way more than 1100 HP

If that boat goes 135+ that's beyond impressive with reliable power. I think this boat is a home run.

Ran it this mid-morning @Elsinore...hit the low 100's but it started to develop a bounce...brought it back for some spacer/adjustments and Bob left around 3p...he'll have some numbers for us in the morning...:thumbsup

Some shots from the lake...crowd was building so it effected top end potential...likely Bob will run it again early Saturday...

Little update on this Speedster,
133 but were still playing with props! Will let everyone know what the final # is after another trip to the lake.

This was at Elsinore I assume?
Sticky slow water,and probably flat.
I bet there's several mph left in it.
