Went to Paso to do some wine taste but had to come to lakes to check them out. Naci is at 20% full with 11 miles of shore line. San Antonino is at 4%. But fishing is great!! Lol They are only releasing water for drinking water now.

One of my favorite lakes. Sad!

On another note, I got back from the East Coast last week and spent a little bit of time on the water. Why is it that we can't have lakes with constant levels?

The lady at the gate gave this to me. Nice to see the lakes that are infected with the Muscle.

Yes!! The main part of the lake is dried up. Hop on your ORV and have at!!! Lot of vegetation.

I bet if you took a metal detector out there you'd find all kinds of stuff :thumbsup

We went to Paso last week and drove to San Antonio and Naciemento. San Antonio had a NO BOAT LAUNCHING sign at the entrance. We did not go in. Naci was pretty empty of folk, but if you were one of the people with your boat in the water, you would have had a nice time. Back in the early 70s the lake was super low and we were talking to a guy at Oak Shores. He started up his OB and a tree stump in the water did a job on his prop. Had to tow him back to camp. Not sure if it is that low right now, since we did not have our boat.

The Ranger lady said there are areas that marked for tree stumps or shallow. But there are few boats that still find a stump or run aground every month. The Ranger said she has seen the lake a lot lower.

I have been on Naci when it is this low. Hit my prop ideling through the marina. Would kick up mud coming on plane unless by the dam area. The good thing about Naci is last time it was that low it was full again by the next year. I recall it is the fastest filling lake in CA. The following year I was tieing my boat off to my toyhauler as opposed to hiking 300' down the shore to it. Can't wait to go back when it is full, hopefully next year.

San Antonio is very bad right now. Friends have a waterfront ranch that is no longer water front. Can drive your RZR across the lake behind them.

Just spoke to a coworker today who has a house up there. He said yes it's low but it's great because the low water level has scared everyone away!
